Program Description

Every two years PLNU students and faculty embark on a journey to explore the people, culture, and ecosystems of Costa Rica. In Neotropical Ecology, students spend a quad at PLNU learning about Costa Rican conservation efforts, wildlife, and plant communities. Then they visit both the cloud and rainforest biomes to experience the wonder in person. On this trip students will see tropical wildlife like capuchin monkeys, scarlet macaws, and poison dart frogs. They will hike isolated cloud and rainforest trails. And they will encounter the wonderful people of Costa Rica who have preserved this natural treasure for all to enjoy. Come join us for an educational adventure unlike any other in Costa Rica!
